Please know our loving thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. My dad was very fond of Emerson and they had a special friendship that brought much joy to my dad’s life for over 50 years. I will always be thankful that Emerson continued to be dad’s best friend even when Alzheimer’s took away his memories. Joy and I are grateful for you and Emerson. We will be thinking about you and wishing that we could be there.

Janice and Michael, I am heartbroken about Emerson’s passing. He was a wonderful friend that I was lucky enough to know more than 50 years. His amazing recollection of past events, his love for the Hokies and his family and golfing buddies are just a few of his many things he was proud of. He is a friend that I will truly miss and I send my love to you all. Rest in peace Emerson, till we meet again.
Janice and Family,
We came to know Emerson through his visits to Trinity UM Church, Christiansburg, VA. Whenever he
was in the area he would come and worship with us in our small church in Ellett Valley. We always looked forward to his visits and enjoyed the fellowship. Emerson was a very special person, a part of our church family and a beloved brother in Christ. Praying for your comfort and peace during this difficult time.
