Betty Joyce Oakes Radomsky, 87, of Middletown, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 6, 2020, at the home of her daughter in Warren County.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 11 at 11:00 a.m. at Maddox Funeral Home with Pastor Sherry Waddell and the Rev. Phillip Cozzi. Entombment will follow in Panorama Memorial Gardens at Waterlick.
Mrs. Radomsky was born November 18, 1933, in Roanoke, Virginia, daughter of the late Wilbur Haywood and Clara McMinnis Oakes. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in Front Royal and a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter 1194 in Front Royal. She was married for 64 years to Edward Joseph Radomsky, Jr., before his passing in 2017.
Surviving are a son Michael Edward Radomsky of New York, New York; two daughters Kathy Dianne Radomsky Robinson and husband Michael Eugene Robinson of Warren County and Pamela Radomsky-Rhyne and husband Robert “Bob” Rhyne of Herndon; one brother Kenneth W. Oakes of Front Royal; one sister Gloria Jean Whitteveen of Texas; seven grandchildren Misty Lee McCumbers, Kelly Michelle Smithson, Michael Edward “Mickey” Radomsky, Jr., Matthew Edward Radomsky Rhyne, Robert Rhyne, Jonathan Rhyne and Anne Kabana Turner; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Radomsky was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter Mary Beth Radomsky; and two brothers Ronald Addie Oakes and Troy “Ikey” Oakes.
Pallbearers will be Michael “Mickey” Radomsky, Matthew Rhyne, Jonathan Rhyne, Leland Engel, Calvin Miller and Patrick O’Neill.
The family will receive friends on Friday, December 11 from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home.
