Surrounded by her loving family, Carol Mary McLaughlin, 71, of Front Royal, VA, and formerly of Marlboro, NY, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2015 after a long and courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 14, at 3:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal, conducted by Rev. Sherry Waddell.
Mrs. McLaughlin was born December 24, 1943 in Peekskill, NY, daughter of the late Karl and Emma Lillian Snyder Schatz. She was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and a loving wife and mother her entire life. After she retired as a chiropractic assistant, she dedicated her time to her children and grandchildren. She was the wife of the late Douglas Glen McLaughlin, Sr.
Surviving are two sons, Douglas G. McLaughlin, Jr. and his wife Jacqueline, and James McLaughlin and his wife Darlene, all of North Carolina; one daughter Celeste Brooks and her husband Kevin of Front Royal; and seven grandchildren: Michael Brooks, Douglas G. McLaughlin, III, Hailey McLaughlin, Everett McLaughlin, Jessalyn Brooks, Noah McLaughlin, and Devin McLaughlin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bennett’s Chapel United Methodist Church Building Fund, 839 Rivermont Dr., Front Royal, VA 22630.
