Carolyn Venable Settle, 90, of Elkton, Virginia and formerly of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away on Monday, June 9, 2025 at her home.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 13 at 2:00 p.m. in Prospect Hill Cemetery with Sammy Campbell officiating.

Carolyn was born September 5, 1934 in Warren County, Virginia, daughter of the late Frank Pope Venable and Edith V. Haley Venable Nicewarner.

She cared for numerous children in her home over the span of many years.

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Surviving is a daughter, Amy J. Settle Morris and husband Darold of Elkton; two grandsons, Jamie Morris of Elkton and Jeremy Yowell and wife Lillian of Ft. Liberty, North Carolina; and two great-grandchildren, Leo and Scarlett Yowell.
