Charles Michael “Rusty” “Chuck” Fischbein, 81, of Front Royal, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at Lynn Care Center.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Mr. Fischbein was born on October 17, 1944 in New York, New York to the late William and Sadie Schectman Fischbein.  He was formerly a reporter on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC.

Survivors include his spouse, Karen Massie-Fischbein; three sons, William Fischbein (Kathy), Jason Fischbein and David “Fisk” Fischbein (Kim); two daughters, Madra Lambert and Heather Roland (Matthew) and eleven grandchildren, William, Nathan, Hannah, Hunter, Jamie, Alle, Amethyst, Willow, Olivia, Isaac and Levi.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to your local school music program.
