Cindy Sherwood Cook, 68, of Front Royal, Virginia passed away on Monday, December 9, 2024 at Warren Memorial Hospital.

Services will be private.

Cindy was born on October 17, 1956 in Los Angeles, California to the late James Sherwood and Betty Costello Harrison. She was also preceded in death by her son, Bryan Charles Duncan; and her grandson, Bryan Xavier Duncan.

Surviving Cindy is her loving husband of 42 years, Bruce Franklin Cook Sr.; her children, Bruce Cook Jr. and Monica Cook; her siblings, Linda Anderson, James Sherwood Jr., Kelly Sherwood, and Ricky Weatherholtz; her grandchildren, Kylie Branham (Jeremy), Adriana Lynn (Jordan), Nathaniel Duncan, Jordan Cook, and Jackson Simpson; her nieces and nephew that she helped raise, Erica Thomas Butler, Katie Furcho, and Scott “Tony” Butler; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Cindy loved trips to the beach and looking at lighthouses. She was the matriarch of the family and helped raise ten kids alongside her husband.

In lieu of flowers the family would like to recommend spending more time with your loved ones and remember to cherish them greatly.
