David “Dave” Wayne Strother, 40, of Front Royal, Virginia passed away peacefully at home Thursday, March 25, 2021.
A Celebration of Dave’s life will be held on Saturday, April 10 from 6:00 p.m. until dusk at the Shenandoah Shores River Lot.
Dave was born January 27, 1981 in Charlottesville, Virginia. He is survived by his mother; Brenda Strother; child, Olivia “Dee” Strother; brother; Danny Strother and wife Staci; sister; Dana and husband, Cordney Martin; Mother of child Jennifer Wiles and husband Jacob, nieces and nephews; Nicklaus; Nathan and wife Kiaya, and son, Casimir; Shakara; Trystan; and Cordney Martin; God children; Kiara and Laney Wiles; 1 aunt and 2 uncles; as well as many beloved family members and friends.
Preceded in death by his father, Daniel Steve Strother, Grandparents Joe and Bessie Martin, and Nancy and Alfred Strother.
He loved the Steelers, Orioles, fishing, golfing, and playing video games. To his parents and siblings, he was the baby and miracle child, born 12 weeks premature and weighing less than 3 lbs at birth. As a child he was goofy and fun-loving with a very stubborn attitude, earning him the nickname “little bull”. He lived up to this nickname even into adulthood. To his close friends, he was always there to lend an ear and keep it real, as the Royal Village counselor, earning him another nickname, “Doc Dave”. If he wanted anything written here for everyone to see, it would have to be his favorite quote: “Look up, get up, and never give up.” He is greatly loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal, Virginia 22630.
