Deborah Ruth “Debbie” Wingate, 72, of Front Royal, Virginia passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2025 at Lynn Care Center.
Ms. Wingate was born on July 23, 1953 to the late James and Mary Hainer Wingate. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Cyndy A. Wingate. She worked as a veterinary technician for Customs and took care of the dogs in the breeding program. Her main interest was working with dogs and horses. She also previously worked for Warren County Veterinary Clinic.
She is survived by several friends in the area including Mary Ellen Hutchins, Debbie Leach and Kristi Harvey.

So sorry to learn of Debbie’s passing. She was a true “animal whisperer.” She loved dogs, horses and all God’s creatures and they loved her. She and her late parents were wonderful neighbors to my late Mom and Dad for many years. May she rest in Peace in heaven and may there be animals there for her to care for.-Jeb Hockman, Henrico
Debbie sure was an “animal whisperer”. And she trained many dog as well as instructed others to train their own dogs. Her parents were wonderful friends to my parents and I. I think of her caring for all her dogs and horses and all the critters she had through the years.
