So very sorry to hear of Don’s passing. I am sure that we will all have “Don” stories to share with one another as we fondly recall the life of this wonderful energetic man. I will never forget when Don drove from his then home church in Linden to Limeton UMC just to prove to the SBG girls that we could sing at his church service and still make it back in time for our service at Limeton UMC. He was a passionate man whether it be reading the latest book to enlarge his own spiritual formation or talking about Martin guitars and music. I will always be personally grateful to Don for being there when I needed someone the most after the passing of my husband. He took it upon himself to mow the lane leading up to the farm and the acres of the homestead. It took him at least 4 hours every time. To Leah and her family, I will hold you in my prayers. May God, family, and friends comfort you.
So very sorry Leah. We met so long ago and yet…. 🙏💕
My sincere condolences to the DeLong family. Donald was a great person to work with and a friend. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.
My heart is saddened greatly at this time and at the same time my soul is uplifted In the short time that I knew Don was fulfilling for me. He was my bible study mentor from whom I gleaned lots of wisdom in the ones we attended together and also the ones he led. As his pastor said recently, he related on numerous occasions that he was not afraid of death, he knew where he was going. Well Don, you are now there, and I know it is just as you expected. Enjoy the gift of eternal life my friend and we will meet again someday in that realm. And Leah, may God comfort you and all the family through this time. Love to you all.
Our thoughts and prayer are with you all. Don will be missed.

My deepest condolences to the entire family. May memories of Don’s love and life bring you comfort during this difficult time. Praying that our Lord gives you strength and peace of heart. May God be with you all.
What a blessing from God, Don DeLong! For me, it was just a casual acquaintance on Sundays at Bethel UMC. But through several bible studies, we developed a little banter and we learned how to joke or be a little more serious. He impressed me as someone who took his commitment to Christianity as his mission. He did not go out shouting to anyone, but in his own polite manner would give words of assurance to those who knew he had something worthwhile to say. March on Christian Soldier, you shed the earthly life, only to gain heaven’s reward. My sympathy goes out to Leah, family and friends.
I am proud to say that Don was my friend and brother in Christ. He was a wonderful Bible study leader! His deep faith was evident in everything he did and said. He always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. As I took my walk today I wondered if he was looking down upon all of us. I can’t imagine a more glorious place to celebrate Resurrection Day than at the Lord’s table. You were correct Don. God wins! And so you did you.
My sympathy and prayers to all of his family and friends. He will be remembered with love and a smile.
Leah, Aaron and Rachel and family, So sorry to hear of Don’s passing. My memories of all the DeLongs are full of joyful hearts, giving hands, and gracious smiles. May your shared moments bring you comfort as you live through the days to come. Holding you all in the light.
