Donald “Scott” Laidlaw

Donald “Scott” Laidlaw, 61, of Middletown, Virginia passed away Monday August 1, 2022.

A memorial service will be held October 22, 2022 at 1:30 pm at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 8213 Linton Hall Rd. Gainsville, VA 20155.

Scott was born December 25, 1960 to the late Robert and Joan Kerly Laidlaw. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Laidlaw.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Barbara “Barb” Laidlaw; daughter, Samantha Laidlaw; son, Ian Laidlaw; three sisters, Kim LeBlanc, Dawne Miller and Valerie Laidlaw. Also surviving are nine nieces and nephews, Leslie Guthrie, Tyna Renner, Sarah Barb, Justin LeBlanc, Jeremy LeBlanc, Nathan Miller, Taylor Miller, Tanner Dockman and Emily Dockman.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to PRS, 10455 White Granite Drive, Suite 400, Oakton, VA 22124.

    A loss of a very special man, so brilliant, so young. Hang in there Valerie , stay close to God and he will help you to heal. You were very blessed to have him for 61 years, as a younger cousin, I have such fond memories of him. God bless you and your surviving sisters. He will be missed, love ya Val, Cousin Sean

    So very sorry to hear of Scott’s sudden death. We have watched you all grow up together. Scott was always so happy and he and Bruce would hang together.
    Your brother was a true Virginia Gentleman !
    I last saw Scott at your Mom’s funeral.
    Our hearts go out to all of the family. May God’s Mercy help you in your grief and great loss of Scott. May Scott’s soul and all of the souls of your Dad & Mom, Bobby and Scott Rest In Peace and May perpetual light shine upon them. With love and prayers,

    Condolences to the entire family. My husband worked with Scott and truly found a true friend in him. I had the pleasure as well to speak to him on a few occasions. God will see you through and be your strength and comfort during this time.
