Eric T. Johnson

Eric T. Johnson departed this life on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at his home, surrounded by his children.

A Home Going Service will be held on Saturday, March 29 at 12:00 p.m. at Greater Joy Baptist Church, 45 East Strasburg Road, Front Royal with Pastor Mark Lewis officiating. Inurnment will be private.

Eric was born June 7, 1975 in Washington D.C., son of Frances Johnson and the late Artie McCain. He was his mother’s only child.

Eric worked at many jobs since the age of 16. He worked as a professional mover, a factory worker, a process technician and forklift driver. Eric would do anything he could do to make money to support his family. Eric loved his Commanders team, as he would often wear his shirt or show up with his hat to parade their wins. Eric enjoyed partying and he never met a stranger as he was very outgoing.  He would just meet you and crack jokes with you like he has known you for years.

Eric enjoyed spending time with his children. He loved playing with Grace outside in the evening, talking with his children on the phone, or catching up with his family members that he did not see very often.

He married the love of his life, Brooke Johnson, on October 10, 2020.

Eric enjoyed making his wife, Brooke, happy and loved to see that beautiful smile on her face at all times. He loved it when he and Brooke went on date nights once a month. They had a love like no other and loved each other very deeply.

He will be missed by everyone that knew and loved him.

Surviving, along with his mother, is his loving and devoted wife, Brooke Johnson; children, Erryca, EJ, Bjorn, Raegan, Robert, Resse, Heavyn, and the apple of his eye his baby girl, Princess Grace; and he would be upset if we forgot to mention his sister-cousins, Angie and Jamie.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 29 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the church.

In life we never saw eye to eye. We fought over everything. Now that you’re gone I realize that we wasted a lot of time. Going forward I promise to be the best mother I can be to our son Bjorn and to provide him with a life full of love as I know you will be watching. I’m so sorry that you’re gone but I will always be grateful to you for leaving me a very special part of you. Eternally grateful…. A Frica ❤️‍🩹🙏🏾
