Ethel Ritter, 96, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026 at Spring Oaks in Warrenton.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 12 at 2:00 p.m. in Panorama Memorial Gardens with Sammy Campbell officiating.
Mrs. Ritter was born December 7, 1929 in Front Royal, daughter of the late William Albert and Ida Blanche Fritz Ritter.
She worked many years for Royal Palace Cleaners in Front Royal and volunteered at Second Chance Thrift Shop in Front Royal.
Surviving are two sons, Randy Ritter and wife Janet of Elkwood and Larry Ritter of Waynesboro; two grandchildren, Texas Ritter and Shannon Ritter; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Settle, Tyler Settle, Mike Jenkins, Hunter Jenkins, Michael Jenkins and Cody Showers.
Memorial donations may be made, in lieu of flowers, to Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 West Cork Street, Winchester, Virginia 22601.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Ethel was a legend on Duncan Avenue. All the kids growing up there will have the fondest memories of her until we all pass. Will she greet us when we cross over ? I’m betting she will.
