Gerry was a beautiful friend not only to me, but to my mother Hilda Bowman, she and mom worked together at Leslie Fox Kaiser school
Once we all travel to New York for a beautiful wedding together it was quite a trip and we had so much fun .
Getty was a of books, the children that Leslie Fox loved her dearly as did her coworkers.

Ms. Curtis was such a sweet lady. She was my first librarian and I always looked forward to her reading stories to us at LFK. As I got older, she always remembered me and would stop to chat whenever I would see her at the local stores and supermarkets. She left a tremendous impression on so many of us early in our lives.
I am so sorry to hear about her passing and send my dearest condolences and comfort to her family, friends, and all of the students who were fortunate enough to have her in such a critical part of our lives. The Giving Tree is still my favorite book. Thank you for teaching us to always stay curious.
