JD Ringer, 53, of Palm Coast, Florida and formerly of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away unexpectedly on March 2, 2025 as a result of a motorcycle accident.
Born on September 16, 1971 in Front Royal, JD was the son of the late James Donald Ringer and Doris Emogene Johnson Ringer, who survives him.
JD is also survived by his loving sister, Gina Ringer Franklin and her husband Rusty; two devoted nieces, Emmalee Thomason (Wayne) and Sara Hensley; great-nieces, Kennedey, Elizabeth, Peyton, and Janeva; and a great-nephew, Titus. JD will be lovingly remembered by his aunts, Dottie Holden, Juanita Senter, and Bonnie Ringer Hadel; as well as his uncles, Tim Senter, John Bridgan (Dolly) and Lawrence McElroy; and cousins, Howard, Pam, Jon and Timmy.
A proud graduate of Warren County High School, JD furthered his education at Lord Fairfax Community College. In Front Royal, he became a beloved figure in the community as the owner of The DJ Connection, where his vibrant personality and love for people truly shone. Later, he relocated to Florida, where he served as Vice President of SK Construction, forming an enduring bond of trust and friendship with the company’s owner, Mark King, who became like family to him.
JD’s zest for life was evident in everything he did. He never met a stranger, cherishing each friendship and connection he made. He had a passion for riding his motorcycle, sharing a brotherhood that spanned across the country.
JD’s faith played an important role in his life. Last year, he rededicated his life to Jesus Christ at Parkview Church in Palm Coast, Florida, a community that held a special place in his heart.
A celebration of JD’s life will be held on March 15, 2025 at Riverton Church in Front Royal, Virginia, at 2:00 PM with a visitation beginning one hour prior to the service. A meal will follow the service at Riverton Church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in JD’s memory to Parkview Church, c/o Pastor Greg Peters, 5435 Belle Terre Parkway, Palm Coast, Florida, 32137.
JD’s warm heart, unforgettable smile, and genuine spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of kindness, love, and friendship will live on in the many lives he touched.

JD was one of my first childhood friends along with Gina!! I remember us visiting the Ringer home in VA and JD taking me a ride on his little dirt bike! I also know JD knew his roots because he was 110 % a West Virginia Mountaineer fan!!! Country roads will forever have a new meaning when I hear it and JDs memory will enter my mind!

I love you brother. My childhood memories will be forever in heart. The bike rides, exploring the backwood, and sleep overs were all part of my childhood that would not have been the same without your friendship. Even as we grew and our friendship wasn’t daily we both knew we were just a phone call away. Now I must wait until we meet again but my memories are everlasting. RIP!!!
Your entire family is in our thoughts and prayers. As you all know, JD was like a brother to me. No matter where I went, I could always count on JD to visit. Whether it was here in VA, at WVU, or NY… JD would take time to visit and we built many life long friends at each stop along the way. I am deeply saddened by his passing, but blessed to have the shared experiences of his life.

Thinking of all of you and this immeasurable and heartbreaking loss. 💔 I always called J.D. a gentle giant and was lucky to call him a friend and colleague after working on so many events together in D.C. & the surrounding area. Doris & family – sending you so much love and comfort during this incredibly difficult time.
Dear Emogene, Bonnie, Juanita and Dottie, My aunt, Edie Reil, told me about J. D.’s tragic death, and she sent me the newspaper clipping. I am so very sorry for your loss.
