Jeanne A. Parretti (Herbeck)

Jeanne A. Parretti (Herbeck), 89, formerly of Worcester, Massachusetts died peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, February 17, 2018 after a brief period of failing health. She was anxious to join her late husband of 63 years, Maj. Lawrence Parretti (USMC) of Worcester in God’s magnificent paradise.

Jeanne was born in New Kensington, Pennsylvania to Steven and Ida Herbeck on January 21, 1929. She went to high school at Tarentum High School and graduated in 1946. She enjoyed dances, parties, reading and spending time with her family.

Jeanne is preceded in death by her loving husband, Larry, her parents, Steven and Ida; two brothers, Charles and Richard and two sisters, Virginia and Elizabeth.

Jeanne’s memories will live on with her two sons, Nick Parretti (Nancy Allen) of Willistown, Pennsylvania and Mark Parretti (Vera Parretti) of Linden, Virginia; grandson, Christopher Parretti of Cordova, Tennessee; Tigger (her faithful cat); Moo (her rabbit) and many much loved nieces and nephews, relatives, in-laws and friends.

The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, pictures and support in many heart-felt forms from too many people to name individually – all of you will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Jeanne’s wishes for all of us – smile because she has lived, be full of the love that she shared, cherish her memory and let it live on and smile, open your eyes, love and cherish all that she has left.

Services and burial will be held at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia. Memorial donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Blue Ridge Hospice for their support in her final days. We now reluctantly and sadly say good-bye and Godspeed to our beautiful and loving mother.

With all our love, Nick and Mark Parretti.
