John Michael O’Connor, 68, of Front Royal, Virginia passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025 at Winchester Medical Center.

John was a strong and caring father to Kimberly Taylor of Martinsburg, Wv and Elizabeth O’Connor of Front Royal, Va. Father-in-law to David Taylor and David Hanson, and Grandfather to Xavier and Ezekiel.

John loved Middle Eastern cuisine as his adopted mother was from Syria. He was a fan of the The Washington Redskins, and movies like The Warriors, Jeremiah Johnson, The Godfather.

Preceded in death by his father John F X O’Connor, his mother Eloise Baruday O’Connor and by his wife Leigh O’Connor – whom he loved and missed dearly.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal from 5 to 7 PM with words of comfort offered by Sammy Campbell at 6 PM.
