Joyce Ann Cook, 79, of Front Royal, Virginia passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at her home.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at 2 PM at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal, Virginia with Rev. Carlton Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Cook was born on March 6, 1939 in Warren County, Virginia to the late William Edward Brown, Sr. and the late Matilda Knight Brown. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Louis James Cook; two brothers, William Brown, Jr. and Charles Arthur Brown; sister, Bertha Spears and granddaughter, Brandi Cook.

Survivors include her son, Louis Tony Cook of Front Royal; five daughters, Tammy Teresa Cook of Front Royal, Debbie Chavez of Front Royal, Lois Diana Whitmore of Winchester, Virginia, Dorothy Ann Lopez of Martinsburg, West Virginia and Loretta Deanna Corbin of Front Royal; three brothers, Hughey, Henley and George Brown all of Front Royal; sister, Barbara Henry of Front Royal; 20 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 from 6 to 8 PM at the Funeral Home.
