Laura Lynn Whyte of Rileyville, Virginia, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2016 in Winchester, Virginia.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal, Virginia with Chaplain Jennifer Compton officiating. Burial will follow in Howellsville Cemetery, Front Royal.

Laura was born to Cheryl and Leon Boyd August 17, 1963 in Warrenton, Virginia.

Laura was adored for her contagious smile and laugh that filled any room she entered, her continuous persistence to care for animals and love for nature, her artwork and creativity which captivates all and for her love for those she adored dearly, her Uncles, Grandparents, Children, Grandchildren, and friends.

She is survived by her mother, Cheryl Cameron; father and step mother; Leon and Patricia Boyd; uncles Lyle Cameron Jr., John Cameron and Roy Boyd; younger siblings, Michelle McLaughlin, Lee and Heather Mergler, Timothy McLaughlin, Christopher and Laura Boyd; nieces, Kalea Obermyer, Haley, Ainsley, and Emalee Boyd; nephew, Cooper Mergler; children, Janelle and Gabriel De Jesús, Joseph Arnold, Rebecca Bowen, Corey Bowen, Rosaleigh Gauthier-Tyger, Daniel Lyster-Mensch and Autumn Bowen; grandchildren, Pablo and Jovanni Colon, Antonio, Mariah and Laughlin De Jesús and Isaiah Arnold and the love of her life, and lifelong partner in all adventures with whom she shared thirty years of life, Abner Randolph Bowen Jr., “Randy”.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 from 7 to 9 PM at the funeral home.
