Lawrence Russell “Lars” Smith, 73, of Front Royal, Virginia passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at Warren Memorial Hospital.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at 12 PM at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal with Sammy Campbell officiating.

Mr. Smith was born on October 15, 1951 in Front Royal to the late Russell and Ethel Vaughan Smith.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Debra Deaton Smith; son, Jeremy Smith and brother, Nelson Glenn Smith.  He retired as a supervisor for Century Link after over forty years of service.  He was of Baptist faith.

Survivors include his two sons, Sean D. Smith and Kyle W. Smith; brother, Dean A. Smith; granddaughter, Debra Elizabeth Smith and two nephews, Colton Smith and Nathan Smith and their families.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
