Lucy Mae Catlett, 91, of Strasburg, Virginia, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2024 at Warren Memorial Hospital.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 1 at 1:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home with Sammy Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in Panorama Memorial Gardens at Waterlick.

Mrs. Catlett was born October 25, 1932 in Rappahannock, Virginia, daughter of the late Ellis and Nellie Atkins Dodson.

Surviving is a dear friend, whom she thought of as a daughter, Nancy Newlin; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Turner Grandison Catlett, Jr., three sisters, Ruth Dodson, Jeanette Jenkins, and Bessie Wilkinson; and two brothers, George Dodson and Clifton Dodson.

Pallbearers will be Doug Sims, Harry Newlin, George Dodson, Cliff Dodson, Michael Henry, and Rick Vogt.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 1 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
