Marguerite Annette Dibble “Dee”

Marguerite Annette Dibble “Dee” died on the morning of January 20, 2019, at age 94. Born to Horace V. and Edith F. Dibble in Passaic NJ, she passed away peacefully at Hidden Springs Senior Living, Bentonville, VA.

Dee was pre-deceased by her ex-husband, Robert Murdoch of Stamford, CT and her brother, Charles Dibble of Portland, ME.

She is survived by three children, Jami Allison Murdoch, Milton PA, Wendy Lynn Murdoch, Washington, VA, and Gary Robert Murdoch, Waterbury, CT, five grandchildren, Theodore (Ted) M. Murdoch-James, Kevin Patrick Minor, Stephanie Allison Minor Cundiff, and Victoria (Murdoch) LaRusso and Jordan (Murdoch) LaRusso and, seven greatgrandchildren.

A long-time resident of Stamford, CT (1950-2003), she moved to Torrington, CT (2003 – 2016) and Virginia In 2016, to live with her daughter, Wendy before moving to Hidden Springs.

In retirement Marguerite became interested in genealogy and did extensive research into her Dibble roots, dating back to the pre-Revolutionary era in Danbury/Bethel, CT. She became a member of the D.A.R., the Daughters of the American Revolution, in May of 2017. At age 93 she was the oldest Daughter to be inducted into the Fauquier Court House Chapter, Warrenton, VA.

A memorial service will be performed in late Spring 2019 at which time her ashes will be placed between her parents in Elmwood Cemetery, Bethel CT.
