Mary Ann Jackson, 79, of Leesburg, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2016, in the Cornwell Hospital in Leesburg.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 14, at 11:00 a.m. at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal by Apostle William Thompson. Interment will follow in the Dry Run Cemetery in Ft. Valley.

Mrs. Jackson was born on April 27, 1938 in Whitetop, VA daughter of the late Marvin F. Blevins and Gracie Mae Royal Blevins. She retired from the Loudoun County School System.

Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her husband Samuel Jackson; one daughter Peggy Marie Carmichael; and two brothers Robert Blevins and Lyle Blevins.

Surviving are two daughters Patricia Thomas of Leesburg and Lorrie Duren and husband Charles of Spotsylvania; two sons Billy Joe Pitkin and wife Winifred Diane “Winnie” and Asa David Pitkin all of Front Royal; one sister Erma Thompson of Front Royal; five brothers Lee Blevins of Martinsburg, WV, James Blevins of Martinsville, Howard Blevins of Royal Retreat, Leonard Blevins of Atkins, and Roger Blevins of Saltville; thirteen grandchildren; and thirty-six great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 13, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
