Mary Ruth Craps

Mary Ruth Craps, 101, of Front Royal, Virginia passed away on September 11, 2025 in Lynn Care Center, Front Royal.

A celebration of life will be held for Ruth will be held at a 10 A.M. on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at Dynamic Life Praise and Worship Center, 1600 John Marshall Hwy, Front Royal, VA 22630.

Ruth as she was affectionately known as was born on November 12, 1923 in Dallas, Texas to the late, James George and Mary Elizabeth Lybarger Craps.

Surviving Ruth is her devoted niece, Cheryl Leigh Faw Crabbe of Front Royal; her nephew, Bruce “Bob” Faw of Laguna Woods, California; her niece, Debbie Cole of Gardnerville, Nevada; her niece, Melanie Sawyer of Yuma, Arizona; and numerous extended family and friends.

Ruth was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and served from August 3, 1944 to December 3, 1957 she was a Petty Officer First Class, a Meteorologist with the Navy, and an Aerographers Mate First Class. She then worked with Braniff Airlines, Continental Airlines, and Frontier Airlines before moving to Hendersonville, Tennessee where she sang in the TBN choir and worked as a phone operator.

Ruth’s studies included music and poetry where she wrote music and even performed some of her written pieces. She especially enjoyed reading her poetry during special occasions at church and volunteering for many church activities through her devoted time at Dynamic Life in Front Royal.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Blue Ridge Hospice or to Dynamic Life Praise & Worship Center.

    “May She Rest In Eternal Peace”.
    “Ma Ruth” as she was Affectionately known by our Church Family at Trinity Music City USA – TBN was a Grandmother & Devoted Friend to many of us. She was also our Church Secretary and served the Lord Jesus Christ, and our staff Faithfully. When Honor Her and Thanks be to the Family for sharing her with us. She will forever be Remembered and Cherished❤️

    Oh, my! One of the sweetest! She will be missed down here, but I am grateful that our parting on earth is but a vapor! Peace, joy, and blessing to all family and friends who enjoyed their time with her on this side of Heaven! What a treasure! ❤️🥰💔 ~m
