Melissa Wines, 27, of Linden, Virginia, passed away on April 20, 2020 at Warren Memorial Hospital.
Melissa was born January 19, 1993 in Front Royal, to Chuck Wines (Theresa Biggs) and Laurel Wines (Pete Hawthorne) of Groton, Connecticut. She is also survived by her grandmother Janet and David Butler; daughter Jazlyn Wines; brother Chaz Wines (Rachel), of Front Royal; sister Jennifer Wines, of Connecticut; nephews Damien Wines, and Onyx Helme; Nieces Leah Wines, Athena Barnhill, and Leila Helme; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Melissa was a devout member of Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church where she attended church. In lieu of flowers the family is asking for contributions to be made in Melissa’s name to Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church located at 18 W. 6th St. P.O. Box 1109, Front Royal, VA, 22630.
You will be missed dearly. I had just begun to know you. That’s why your loss hurts so much. Look down on your greatest gift Jazlyn and guide her to do great things. When you and Jazlyn would visit she would smile and you made me laugh. You will forever have a place in my heart.
