Peggy Griffith Manuel, 60, of Browntown, VA, died on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Winchester Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 21, at 11:00 a.m. at Front Royal United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Sherry Waddell. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
Peggy Was born May 1, 1954 in Front Royal, VA daughter of the late Haywood and Mildred Vaughan Griffith, She was a graduate of Warren County High School Class of 1972 and retired from E.I. DuPont in 2009. She then began working at Hidden Springs Senior Living as activities director until retiring in 2014. She was a member of Front Royal United Methodist Church and was a cub scout leader for Pack 53 for 10 years.
Surviving are her husband Chris Manuel; her daughter Leigh Schmitt and her husband Tyler; her sons Ryan Manuel and Brady Manuel; her sister Linda Griffith Ruhling and her husband Ray; her sister-in-law Geraldine Griffith; granddaughter Linnea Schmitt; an uncle William Griffith; her aunt Ruth Jones; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother James Griffith.
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 20, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home.
