Priscilla “Prissy” Jane Landers, 72, of Front Royal, Virginia passed away on Monday January 16, 2023, at Warren Memorial Hospital.
A memorial service will be held at Bennett’s Chapel at a later date due to a COVID outbreak. The family apologizes for any inconvenience.
Priscilla was born in New York City, New York on March 12, 1950, the daughter of the late Arie Jacob Docter & Adela Sabina Perez Docter.
She was an avid quilter and a member of the Top Of Virginia Quilt Guild (TOVA) where she spent time with her local church helping the community as often as possible. She believed in giving back, and would make quilts to be auctioned off to raise money to help others in the community. She was also a member of the Bennett’s Chapel United Methodist Church.
Priscilla is survived by her loving husband, Gerhard F. Landers, one son, Pieter F. Landers and one daughter, Genevieve K. Landers and her brother Arie Docter (Astrid) of Purmerend, Netherlands.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society at donate.cancer.org or P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.

So sad to hear of Prissys passing but I know she is no longer suffering and at peace.
Priscilla was such a lovely person, who she was in life will forever remain a wonderful inspiring memory. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends, as we have all lost a happy, exciting, beautiful woman. May you find peace in knowing she is not suffering anymore, and may you live your lives knowing she is in your hearts. Make her proud by being the best authentic you! May there always be Love and Light along your path.
So sorry to hear of your loss. Keeping your family lifted in prayer.
So sorry about the loss of this lovely woman. I have know her for many years with the Top of VA quilters and admired her strength and courage during her cancer battle. Just when I thought she could not attend meetings any more, in the door she would come with that beautiful smile. I will miss her so much.
Dear Gerry, Pieter, and Genna, we share your sorrow at the passing of Priscilla. We are confident she is with Jesus, and has no more pain and suffering. Priscilla deeply enriched our lives. She was a “giver”. Our favorite line was “Call Priscilla! She knows everything!” We loved her and thank God for her. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Love, Ed and Deb
I knew Priscilla when she was a member of Fairfax Chapter Quilters Unlimited. She had a warm and giving heart. She is the only person I know who revealed during an ice breaker activity at a quilting retreat, she attended Woodstock music festival, 1969. I thought she was the coolest. She will be missed for sure.
