Raymond Kenneth “Ray” Winn, 92, of Front Royal, Virginia passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Hidden Springs Senior Living.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at 11 AM at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal with the Rev. Jim Bunce officiating.  Burial will follow at Panorama Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Winn was born on May 10, 1931 in Lewistown, Pennsylvania to the late Stanford and Susannah “Mid” Fulton Winn.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Sally Grove Winn; son, Raymond Craig Winn and brother, Robert Stanford Winn.  He was a lifetime member of the Front Royal Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department and a member of Marlow Heights Baptist Church, where he Ray and Sally were married on December 20, 1952 and he served in numerous committees.  He was a veteran of the United States Army.

Survivors include his son, Stan Winn (Karen); daughter, Dina Winn (John Updike); sister, Pat Nakahara (Jits); four grandchildren, Chris Winn (Katie), Casey Winn (Will Doss), Amber Jones (Chris) and Troy Jenkins (Amanda) and six great grandchildren, Sarah, Ryland, Mia, Maddie, Brodie and Leah.

Pallbearers will be Will Doss, Troy Jenkins, Chris Jones, Billy Joe Robinson, Chris Lambert and R. L. Frederick.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Al Lambert, Bill Robinson and Raymond Murphy.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 11, 2024 from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
