Roy Edward “Zeke” Rhoton, 78, of Winchester, died Monday, October 23, 2017, in Evergreen Health and Rehab Center.

A funeral service will be held on Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal conducted by Samuel Campbell. Inurnment will be held in Prospect Hill Cemetery at a later date.

Mr. Rhoton was born March 2, 1939 in Gate City, Virginia, son of the late Floyd and Minnie Presley Rhoton. He was married to the late Ina Mae Rhoton.

He was a retired siding installer for a home improvement company. Mr. Rhoton enjoyed dancing and attended many dances.

Surviving are two sisters Kathleen Wright of Winchester and Doris A Perrin of Royal Oak, Michigan; two brothers James E. Rhoten of Elwood, Texas and Fred Rhoton of Stephens City; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter Jody; two brothers Donald Rhoton and Kyle Rhoton; and two sisters Lois Payne and Joyce Sue Seekford.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
