Sandra “Sandy” Lee Williams, 68, of Front Royal, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Winchester Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal. Burial will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery.

Sandy was born on December 1, 1948 in Warren County, Virginia to the late John W. Kerns, Sr. and Maude Minnix Kerns. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Angela Burge; brothers, John W. Kerns, Sr. and Raymond Kerns and sisters, Phyllis Brown and Linda Lamb.

She was a lifetime member of the VFW and the Strasburg Moose Lodge and she was the former owner of Sandy’s Diner in Front Royal.

Survivors include her husband, Russell L. Williams of Front Royal; four sons, Robert Allen Williams (Pam) of Front Royal, Ashby John Spiker, Jr. (Leslie Deavers) of Front Royal, Timothy Spiker (Pam) of Strasburg, Virginia and Michael Williams (Jessica) of Stanley, Virginia; daughter, April Spiker of Front Royal; two sisters, Yvonne Smedley and Shirley Dillon both of Front Royal; two brothers, Norman Kerns of Cross Junction, Virginia and George Kerns of Front Royal; nineteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be George Kerns, Butch Kerns, Robert Williams, Ashby Spiker, Timothy Spiker and Michael Williams.
