Sandra “Sandy” Lynn Tweedie, 72, of Front Royal, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at Warren Memorial Hospital.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Tweedie was born on February 24, 1952 in Front Royal. She was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Helen Metz Kendall and sister, Paula Williams. She owned Front Royal School of Cosmetology where she taught for many years. She was formerly a member of Rivermont Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 29 years, Donald Tweedie; daughter, Holly Valerio; three step sons, Donnie Tweedie, Jeremy Tweedie and Aaron Tweedie; two step daughters, Barbara Ann Arozo Caterez and Amanda Chapman; brother, Stephen Kendall and three grandchildren, Kennedy, Bailey and Christian.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.

Sandy and I were good friends in school. I spent time at her parent’s home in Rivermont. The news of her passing makes me sad when I think of the carefree times we had as children. My deepest condolences to her husband, children and grandchildren.
