Shirley Jeannette Marshall, 73, of Front Royal, passed away on Monday, June 26, 2017, at INOVA Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Virginia.

The family will receive friends on Friday at Maddox Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a funeral service at 7:00 p.m.

Mrs. Marshall was born on July 19, 1943 in Alexandria, daughter of Veldon Bernice and Myrtle Ethel Dingus Layne. She was married to the late Robert Nathan Marshall.

Surviving are four children Markus L. Marshall, Steven S. Marshall, Jeannette M. Oakes, and Matthew N. Marshall all of Front Royal; a brother Terry Marshall of Houston, TX; eight grandchildren Amanda Thompson, Olivia Marshall, Jessica Smith, Zachary Dick, David Dick, MacKenzie Oakes, Kody Oakes, and Nathan Marshall; and eleven great grandchildren Addison Higdon, Kingsley Higdon, Daniel Athey, Dylan Jenkins, Ruby Jenkins, Noah Jenkins, Marcus Smith, Amiyah Smith, Aidan Dick, Keagan Dick, and Wyatt Marshall.
