Walter Glenn Harper, 79, of Front Royal, Virginia passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Commonwealth Assisted Living.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Front Royal Baptist Temple, 25 West 18th Street. Burial will follow at Panorama Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Harper was born on December 21, 1937 in Alderson, West Virginia to the late Walter W. Harper and Edith Holt Hutchison.

He was a member of Front Royal Baptist Temple and was an Air Force veteran.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Carolyn Ann Harper; son, William Owen Harper of Front Royal; two daughters, Jeanne Svejda of Chesterton, Indiana and Donna Gallagher of Woodbridge, Virginia; sister, Delores Burks of Fincastle, Virginia and seven grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 from 6 to 8 PM at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal.
