Walter Wayne Grimsley, 69, of Culpeper, VA, died on June 24, 2016, in Charlottesville, VA.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 29, at 2:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home conducted by Pastor Steve Guizar assisted by Randy Sheads. Burial will follow in Flint Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.

Mr. Grimsley was born June 12, 1947 in Front Royal, VA, son of the late George T. Grimsley and Ada Mae Pullen Grimsley. He was a graduate of Rappahannock High School and attended Lord Fairfax Community College. Mr. Grimsley worked for the Embassy Dairy in Culpeper for 15 years and retired. He was currently working and recently resigned as a newspaper carrier with the Culpeper Star Exponent with over 20 years of dedicated service.

He is survived by his wife Dale Grimsley of Rixeyville; one son Andy Grimsley and his daughters Brooklyn and Kailyn and Andy’s fiancée Shelly Woodward and her daughters Chelsey and Kelsey all of Culpeper; one brother Ashby T. Grimsley and companion Betty Rowzie of Front Royal; one sister Joyce James and husband David of Flint Hill; former daughter-in-law Tracy Lynn Woodward. He was preceded in death by his brother Russell Grimsley.

Pallbearers will be Craig Settle, Benjamin Woodward, Wally Sheads, Charles Pullen, Arthur Pullen, Jr., and Dale Welch.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Welch, Travis Bowers and Andrew Settle.
