William Dennis “Rusty” Goad, 55, of Front Royal, VA, died on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at UVA Hospital in Charlottesville.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 11, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. conducted by Sammy Campbell. Burial will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery.

Rusty was born June 23, 1961 in Front Royal, VA, son of the late Joyce Elaine Williams Goad. He worked for many years at Blue Ridge Opportunities in Front Royal. He was an avid sports card collector and was a Washington Redskins fan. Rusty also enjoyed attending the Bluebird Sunday School class at Rivermont Baptist Church.

Surviving are one sister Bonnie Kirkland and her husband Rick of Front Royal; one niece Brittany Compher and her husband Kyle; one nephew Trey Kirkland; and two great –nephews Eli and Waylon Compher. Along with his mother Rusty was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Hazel “Nawnaw” Williams.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy North, Clifford Baggarly, Wayne Sealock, Alex Baker, Jeff Gran, and Chad Henry.
