Joseph Robert Lavey, 27, of Strasburg, Virginia passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital in Woodstock, Virginia.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 120 W. Main Street, Front Royal, Virginia at 2:00 PM.

Joseph was born on June 8, 1989 in Dale City, Virginia to Scott and Wendy Lavey.
He was a graduate of Warren County High School class of 2007. He was a Knight of Columbus with John Carrell Council 7771 and an electrician with Benfield Electric.

Surviving along with his parents is his wife, Jessica Lavey; paternal grandmother, Lorraine L. Lavey; maternal grandfather, Robert H. Sloan and seven siblings, Crystal Kerns, Amanda Hoisington, Megan Lavey, Ryan Lavey, Kyle Lavey, Magdalene Lavey and Samantha Lavey.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 from 7 to 9 PM at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 W. Main Street, Front Royal.
