Brenda Tyree Henry, 72, of Front Royal, died Monday, November 30, 2015, at Commonwealth Assisted Living in Front Royal.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal, VA, conducted by Doug Dayhoff. Interment will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Henry was born January 9, 1943, in Waynesboro, VA, daughter of the late E. Mack and Mary Crutchfield Tyree.

She graduated from Warren County High School, Class of 1961 and later from Madison College (now known as James Madison University), Class of 1965. After her education, she taught business courses for James Wood High School in Winchester from 1965 until 1971. She was Vice President of Henry Electrical Contractors, Inc. in Front Royal from 1976 until her retirement. She was a member of the Front Royal Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

She was married to Jerry C. Henry, her spouse of 47 years, on June 13, 1968.

In addition to her husband Jerry, Mrs. Henry is survived by a son J. Clifton Henry; two brothers Niles Tyree and his wife Ruth and Gary Tyree; two brothers-in-law George Mangum and Arthur S. Henry and his wife Nancy; three grandchildren Zach Henry, Megan Henry, and Brooke Henry; an uncle John Crutchfield and his wife Betty; an aunt Doris Rhodenizer and her husband Carl; and nieces and nephews Daniel Mangum, Nathan Mangum, Gail Mangum, Andrea Mangum-Haugh Scheller, Shema Vontye, Tanya Tyree, Angela Tyree Gouda, Jason Tyree, Lila Silvious, and Trevor Henry.

She was predeceased by her sister Peggy Mangum.

Pallbearers will be Zach Henry, Nathan Mangum, Daniel Mangum, Gary Duane Vaughan, Kevin Kidwell, and Randy Jenkins.

Honorary pallbearers will be Trevor Henry and David Body.

The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
