Hazel L. “Sissy” Sharp, 69, of Front Royal, passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at her home.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 12, at 2:00 p.m. at the Shenandoah Farms Baptist Church, with Pastor Lane Dezan. Interment will follow in the Ivy Hill Cemetery in Upperville.

Mrs. Sharp was born on February 21, 1946, in Herndon, daughter of the late Joseph H. Croson and Hazel Kidwell Croson. She was a retired bus driver from Loudoun County Public Schools.

Mrs. Sharp was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Marion William “Bucky” Sharp; and a son Donald Shifflett.

Surviving are two sons Tony Shifflett and Chuck Sharp both of Front Royal; three daughters Renee Sharp Austin, Kathy Eamich-Bell, and Brenda Shifflett, all of Front Royal; two brothers Maurice Croson of Fredericksburg and James Croson of Front Royal; nineteen grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons Damon Jones, C.J. Sharp, Coty Crocker, Collin Conner, Chris Eamich, and Bradley Wyatt.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ryan Wyatt, Brandon Wyatt, Maurice Croson, and James Croson.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the church.
