William B. “Billy” Bell, 91, of Abingdon, Virginia, died Wednesday, January 13, 2016, in the Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 18, at Panorama Memorial Gardens at 11:00 a.m. conducted by The Rev. Dr. R. Mark Jordon.

Mr. Bell was born July 30, 1924, in Roanoke, son of Bennett W. and Claudine Coffman Bell. He was married to the late Carrie “Dolly” Bell.

He was a retired purchasing agent for American Viscose/Avtex Fibers. He was a Warren County High School graduate and attended Bluefield College. He was a World War II veteran serving in the U. S. Army.

Surviving are two sons William B. “Benny” Bell, III and David Lee Bell; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Bell was preceded in death by two brothers Richard N. “Dick” Bell and James Robert “Bobby” Bell.
