Roger Lee McCauley, 75, of Luray, Virginia passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, Virginia.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Mr. McCauley was born on July 3, 1950 in Winchester, Virginia to the late William McCauley and Eileen Anderson Critcher. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Bill McCauley. He was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the United States Army.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Patricia “Pat” McCauley; son, Adam McCauley (Missy); brother, Edward “Ed” McCauley (Janet) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are welcome to visit the McCauley home.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Rileyville Baptist Church, 7044 US-340, Rileyville, Virginia 22650 or to a charity of one’s choice.

Pat, I know no words can take away the heartache, my heart is saddened too for your loss. I think back over all the years that I’ve known Roger Lee and it does help remembering the many miles we rode together. I think about Adam and Ed, remembering when Adam was just a new baby and Ed was another brother to me as Bill and Roger were. Eileen probably thought she had an unadopted son at one time.
