Blair David Eller

Blair David Eller, 62, of Front Royal, Virginia passed away on March 7, 2026 at the University of Virginia Medical Center.
A memorial service will take place at 2 P.M. on Friday, March 20, 2026 at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 W Main Street, Front Royal, Virginia 22630 with pastors, James Boyette and Randy Orndorff officiating.

Blair was born on June 17, 1963 in Westminster, Maryland to the late Galen Ross and Mary Caroline Wenger Eller. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Myra Jones.

Surviving Blair is his loving wife of 43 years, Virginia Faye Schurtz Eller; his daughters, Emily Estes (Brad) and Valery Judy (John); his grandson, Raymond Estes; his brothers, Marlin Eller (Joyce), and Burt Eller (Biz); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Blair was a man guided by faith, and many saw him as a true servant of the Lord. He was well known for his willingness to help others. Whether leading projects on mission trips or offering a helping hand, Blair’s acts of service were always sincere and selfless.

Those who knew him well saw how much he enjoyed the simple things—time with his family, the view from the beach house, and a late-night snack. In his free time, he liked fishing, golfing, and watching sports, especially the Washington Capitals. Above all, Blair loved his family. He was a proud father and a devoted husband.

In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Kelsey’s Missions, a 501(c)(3) ministry helping those in need in Front Royal and beyond. Checks can be made to Kelsey’s Missions and mailed to 609 Clark Rd., Stephens City, VA 22655.

You only meet a handful of people in your lifetime. They make an impact on you because of their character. Blair was one of those people you could tell he loved his family. You could tell that he was a man of integrity and I’m a better person for having known him. I expect to see him again one day condolences to his family.

    Dear Eller Family,

We at The Matthews Group (TMG), were very saddened to hear of Blair’s passing.

Professionally, Mr. Eller was a pleasure to work with. He took pride in seeing his projects come to fruition and in delivering a quality product to the client. He demanded excellence from those performing the work as one should, but did so with fairness and grace.

Personally, Mr. Eller always greeted me with a handshake and a smile and always looked you in the eye when speaking with you which I respected and appreciated. I enjoyed getting to work with Blair. I only wish I could have done so longer.

We at TMG will be lifting you and your family up in prayer now and in the days ahead. May God grant you strength to persevere, courage to push forward, and peace and comfort as you mourn for Blair.

    With mournful hearts,

Heath Dennis & The Matthew’s Group
