Betty Jean Menefee, 89, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at Skyview Health and Rehab in Luray, Virginia.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 19 at 2:00 p.m. in Prospect Hill Cemetery with family friend, Sammy Campbell officiating.
Mrs. Menefee was born June 11, 1937 in Greene County, Virginia, daughter of the late George Benson and Maggie Marshall Shifflett.
She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses.
She was married to the late Earl Lee Menefee Sr.
Surviving are two sons, Earl Menefee Jr. and Gary Menefee, both of Front Royal; one daughter, Donna Swiger of Colorado Springs, Colorado; special grandson, Jason Voron of Front Royal; four additional grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Monday, October 19 from 1-2 p.m. at Maddox funeral home.
Betty will be very missed she was one of my favorite residents at Skyview. Momma Betty you will truly be missed but I’m so glad for the time we were able to spend together I love you and please know you will always be in my heart Betty Jean🥰
