Shannon Christopher “Chris” Reil, 49, of Front Royal, Virginia passed away on Friday, August 12, 2016 at Berkley Springs Medical Center in Martinsburg, West Virginia.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Riverton United Methodist Church at 2:00 PM.

He was born in Front Royal to Guy Thomas “Tom” and Edie Ruffner Reil of Front Royal.

Shannon was a graduate of Warren County High School class of 1985 and a Navy Veteran. He was currently employed by Newborn Enterprises of Pennsylvania.

Surviving along with his parents are his sister Kelly Reil Auchmoody, brother-in-law Blake Auchmoody, his nephew Weston “Wes” Auchmoody all of Richmond and Aunts and Uncles, Ann Ruffner Cooper, Fay Ruffner Miller (Glen), Marie Reil Knox, Larry Russell Reil, Wanda Deavers Boyd; as well as numerous cousins and friends.

Shannon will be remembered as a loving son and brother and a true friend, always willing to lend a helping hand to others.

His remains will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Riverton United Methodist Church or The American Heart Association.
