Keith Patrick Sanker, 19, of Front Royal, VA, passed away on August 10, 2016 in Warren County, VA.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 20, at 11:00 a.m. at the Skyline High School Gymnasium with Sammy Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Bennett’s Chapel Cemetery. A reception will follow the burial at the Front Royal Fire Hall.

Keith was born March 27, 1997 in Warrenton, VA son of Richard Lee Sanker, Sr. of Front Royal and Jennifer Carol Kroll Marshall of Front Royal. He was a 2016 graduate of Skyline High School where he exceled in athletics and was chosen as team captain for football and wrestling and earned Defensive Player of the Year. Keith also was an active helper and volunteer for community events, especially with the Elks Lodge in Front Royal assisting veterans.

Surviving along with his parents are his maternal grandparents Tom and Linda Kroll of Front Royal; great-grandmother Mammie Shepherd; step-father John Wesley Marshall, Jr. of Front Royal; step-grandmother Dorothy Elaine Marshall of Warrenton; one sister Rachel Annmarie Sanker of Front Royal; and three brothers Richard Lee Sanker, Jr. of Warrenton and Keejon Carlos Marshall and John Wesley Marshall, Jr. of Front Royal.

Pallbearers will be Richard Lee Sanker, Jr., Kody Kapp, Mark Kapp, Matt Keel, Heath Gilbert, Richard Yatsko, Brad Halsley and Joey Norman.

Honorary pallbearers will be the football and wrestling teams of Skyline High School.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 19, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal, VA.
