Myrna E. Mason, 71, of Chesapeake, Virginia, formerly of Front Royal, passed away on Monday, September 5, 2016 at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 W. Main Street, Front Royal, Virginia with Sammy Campbell officiating. A private burial will be held following the service

Mrs. Mason was born on March 31, 1945 in Statesville, North Carolina to the late Dawson Elliott and Nelda Keever Elliott. She was preceded in death by her brother, Gilbert Elliott and her husband, Charles H. Mason.

She formerly owned Myrna’s Styling Boutique in Front Royal, was an instructor at the Robert Armel Beauty School and worked as a hairdresser at various salons locally. She was a member of Front Royal United Methodist Church and a former resident of Winchester relocating to Chesapeake in 2010 to be near her daughter. She was an expert seamstress and crafter making quilts, afghans, and many other treasures for her family and friends.

Survivors include her former husband and companion of six years, Jack White of Chesapeake; two daughters, Kimberly Clem (BK) of Chesapeake and Kollette Henry (John) of Luray; one sister, Darla Hannan (Charles) of Silver Spring, Maryland; three grandchildren, James Poe, Amber Morris (Christopher) and Darrian Henry; three great grandchildren, Logan, Emma and William Morris. Survivors also include two nephews, one niece, as well as an extended family of relatives and friends that will miss her.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 9, 2016 from 6 to 8 PM at Maddox Funeral Home.
