Anderson Armentrout North, 80, of Chester Gap, Virginia passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2016 in Front Royal, Virginia.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 17, 2016 at Chester Gap Baptist Church 41 Waterfall Road, Chester Gap at 2:00 PM with the Pastor Jim Burke and Pastor Mike McCartney officiating. Burial will follow in Williams Family Cemetery.

Mr. North was born in Chester Gap on June 6, 1936 to the late George Washington North, Sr. and Bertha Shelton North Williams. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Jean Alexander North; brother, George Washington North, Jr. and two sisters, Mary “Suggie” Williams and Nora Sealock.

Survivors include his two daughters, Robin North Kayser and Tammy Williams (Donald) both of Front Royal; his sister, Maybelle Henson of Front Royal; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 16, 2016 from 6 to 8 PM at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal.

Pallbearers will be Brian Phebus, Earl Williams, Bobby Orndorff, John Kerns, Bobby Saffell and Vern Heavner.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 West Cork Street, Winchester, Virginia 22601.
