Doris J. Lillard, 78, of Front Royal, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2016, in the Blue Ridge Hospice in Winchester.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 15, at 11:00 a.m. at Maddox Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Jim Bunce. Interment will follow in the Flint Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Lillard was born on October 4, 1938 in Rappahannock County daughter of the late Leonard and Francis Catherine Jenkins Campbell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Henry Lillard, Jr.

Mrs. Lillard was a day care provider, taking care of many children in her home throughout the years.

Surviving are two daughters Donna Lillard Cameron and husband Rodney of Front Royal, and Lisa Lillard Starnes and husband Brian of Front Royal; five grandchildren Jennifer Cameron, Michael Cameron, Sara Jones, Maggie Starnes, and J.B. Starnes; three great-grandchildren Andrew Jones, Riley Heflin, and Kaylee Heflin.

Pallbearers will be Michael Cameron, J.B. Starnes, Ricky Lillard, Stevie Lillard, Michael Smith, and Cody Lillard.

Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel Rishel, Gregory Jones, Danny Campbell, and Wyatt Lillard.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 14, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
