Harry Samuel Massie, Jr. 72, of Front Royal, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 in the Lynn Care Center in Front Royal.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 11 at 2:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home conducted by Pastor Danny Clegg. Interment will follow in the Prospect Hill Cemetery.

Junior was born on March 15, 1944 in Front Royal son of the late Harry Samuel Massie, Sr. and Gladys Virginia White Massie. He worked for 25 years for the O’Sullivan Corporation which is now the Leer Corporation. He was married to the late Janet Marie Beatty Massie who preceded him in death on February 1, 2011.

Surviving are a daughter Michelle Thompson and husband Frankie of Front Royal; two sons Todd and Susie Massie and Tony Massie all of Front Royal; one sister Carolyn Massie of Front Royal; five grandchildren Jeremiah Thompson, Jacob Thompson, T.J. Massie, Evan Massie and Brooke Spindle; two great grandchildren Trinity and Alvah and Patty Massie whom he thought of as a daughter.

Pallbearers will be Todd Massie, Tony Massie, Jeremiah Thompson, Jacob Thompson, T.J. Massie, Rodney Custer and Paul Deavers.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
