Harlin “Buddy” Cook of Front Royal, Virginia went to his Heavenly home on November 10, 2016 at the age of 72, after a brave fight with cancer.
Buddy was born February 4, 1944 to Dayton and Janet Cook in Romney, West Virginia.
He was a lifelong electrician and volunteer firefighter. He loved to fish, hunt and go four wheeling with his boys. His main passion was the time he spent with his large family. He loved telling crazy stories to the grandkids and great grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Jean and father in law, Joe Sorrell.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Bonnie Sorrell Cook; four children, Jim, Tammy (Jeff), Tim “Pud” (Kathy) and Tina; ten grandchildren, Courtney (Nate), Angela (Justin), Joe (Taylor), Dustin (Rava), Tim Jr., Bubba (Kaitlyn), Brittney-Bristo (Anthony), Samantha, Connor (Jess) and Krissy; a granddaughter that he and his wife raised, Bonnie Jr. “Boodle” (Chad); eight great grandchildren, Blake, Kylie, Cameron, Harper, Harrison, Riley, Trenton and Kambri.
Also surviving are two sisters, Bonnie K. (June) and Carol (Mickey); a brother, John and a special sister in law, Terri; a daughter in law, Allison; son in law, Glenn and many, many friends and relatives.
Following his request he will be cremated with no services and his remains spread in his favorite places.
