Frank Hencil Dodson, 81, of Front Royal, VA, passed away on March 1, 2017 at Warren Memorial Hospital.

Services will be private.

Mr. Dodson was born on August 23, 1935 in Sperryville, VA son of the late Hencil and Lois Dodson. He retired from the Town of Front Royal with over 40 years of service. Mr. Dodson was an avid Washington Redskins and NASCAR fan.

Surviving are his son Frank H. Dodson, Jr. and wife Carol ; grandchildren Rachel Ann Dodson, Sara Beth Dodson and Jacob Allen Dodson; sisters Margaret Strickler, Juanita Cather, Alice Partlowe (Ray),Frances Brown (Henley), and Vicki Michael (Joe) all of Front Royal; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Nancy Wood.

The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to Hidden Springs Assisted Living and Warren Memorial Hospital for their loving care.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 1801 Libbie Ave., Suite 106, Richmond, VA 23226 for the benefit of the Northern Shenandoah Valley JDRF Walk.
