Larry Joseph Phillips, 69, of Bentonville, VA, died on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at INOVA Fairfax Hospital.

A memorial service will be held on May 20, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Browntown Community Center.

Mr. Phillips was born May 7, 1947 in Maryland, son of the late John Earl Phillips and Levie Alice Carr Phillips. He retired as a carpenter.

Surviving are one daughter Wendy Phillips Taylor of Bentonville; one son Colby Phillips of Winchester, VA; two sisters Marsha Smelser and Lois Smelser both of Front Royal; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother Donnie Phillips.
